Children of Prisoners Joyce and Jerry presented two different sides of the problems inherent for prisoners children before, during, and after incarceration. They pointed to the use of mentoring and direct involvement in the lives to children affected by parental imprisonment. Joyce described the phase's children progress through after a traumatic event such as imprisonment of a parent.
